Being of a satirical nature at its root, "Dogma" is set within a rural town where the ordinary is the norm. The protagonist of the book and his best friend find themselves creating chaos and havoc to help quell the insatiable boredom that grips their lives. Eventually, the protagonist's life is turned inside-out and upside-down, and he must make horrible choices if he wants to stay alive. I plan on creating an audio book of this novel, and also creating a YouTube series with visualizers for each chapter to accompany the audio being read to the audience.
For Chapter 8 - "Sleepwalking Existence," this is the last chapter within the Child Era part of the book, and begins to lead into the bigger troubles of the Teen Era to come. The protagonist reflects on prior experiences, and reflects on one such event that has yet been unveiled to the reader up to this point; where Aeryn is. This is also the first chapter that deals with the protagonist and his mother's "special sessions," which are anything but normal. The style for this one had more to do with the 4 zodiac "center" pieces, visualizing some of the events and important objects from the previous (and even future) chapters. Considering I wanted most of the focus on the constellations, I opted for minimal visual interference coming from the rest of the piece (the moon and sky), trying to strike a balance using vibrant colors.
